    Default Crappie night at Dooleys


    OK here is a heads up for all you guys and gals in the Lexington area. Dooleys is having their annual Crappie Night on Feb. 27th from 5 til 8pm. They will have a fish fry and special sale going on. The fish fry is $7 for all you can eat and they often have venison and other wild game in addition to fried crappie and catfish.
    This year Charles (Dooley) has a "Wheel of Fortune" discount. When you make a tackle purchase you spin the wheel he has set up and you get what ever discount the wheel falls on. It ranges from 10 to 50% so you get at least a 10% and possibly a 50% discount off your purchase.
    Charles has given me prizes for our Crappie Fest in the past (and also will not let us pay for bait when we host our Wonded Warriors fishing outing) so drop by and eat some fish and refill some of your lost and broken tackle.
    I will be there probably from 6 to 7 so give me a holler if you come in,

    If you are not familar with their store, they are on the right side of 378 west out of Lexington just past where Hwys 1 and 378 split.

    I've been going to Dooley's since they were in the little cement block building many years back. Charles and Monty are great people and I went to school with David before he died. They have remained a strong family that supports the fishing community and I remain a loyal patron. Sounds like a good time, I'll talk to the wife.
