Hey blue thunder. I think he meant Caney.

If it's caney I might offer a little suggestion. This time of the year underneath the bridge at browns landing is good early in the morning. When they start to spawn around the state park is a good spot. There are some deep spots up on the dam end where people catch them right off the bottom in the winter. Hope this helps. I might head over there next week. I have an itch that I need to scratch. This cabin fever is killing me. Lol
I have never fished caney but a coworker does and he said that the dam area is where the fish are now about 30 ft deep hope that helps.
Hey y'all, Caney is a new guy but also a good guy. I see where some of you are trying to help help him out. Thanks

I grew up 15 minutes from Caney so I got fairly good at fishing it. BT hit the nail on the head, great info. I was there last weekend and the boats were stacked around the dam. We only caught one bar fish. When they do go to biting there are some slabs to be caught. Also some of the best shell cracker fishing in the state IMO.
Where did you grow up? I grew up about 15 from Jonesboro almost to Vernon.

Grew up in Sikes. Were you at Poverty Point today? I saw a nice blue xpress pulling up while launching my boat.
