Lol Russ, you crack me up!!! Saying that it was cold may just be the understatement of the century! I made the mistake of letting my rod slide, reel first, into the water while re-tying after breaking off. Within two minutes it was a huge ice cube. Had to put that one up for the day. My other two reels had so much ice in them that I couldn't pull out line or reel up any slack. Had to cut the line when I left because they were froze solid! Anybody that will fight all of that just to feel that thump has got it bad. I ended up with ten decent fish, but not sure if I will rush out in the next arctic blast for another ten. Just a little disclaimer for anyone who sees those pics and thinks they can do the same: When Russ says it's slow, you better think twice, or you might get your feelings hurt!
