Default Any reports from Stephenville, Union Oil, etc.

As soon as I get over my allergy attack, I'd like to go give them a try. I love fishing those canals with all the tops and structure. And like Didi knows it's the most beautiful place to get pictures in those swamps.

In my neck of the woods, no deep holes here, all canals are 7 foot deep, but slow and on the bottom is where they at.

I caught 5 there on Saturday. Water was cold cold of course. But that not the real problem. The area lost a ton of fish from Isaac and gonna be couple more years before it gets anywhere near normal. As you know I fish there area a lot during all seasons and is been tough since issac. Best day last winter/spring was 30. But most days i/we fished hard for 8-15 fish even under the best of conditions. Is not to say you can't catch a few but good days will be few and far between What fish you catch are all bigger fish as that is what survived the hurricane. I will keep checking some as that's te biggest fish we have in our area. I used to despise the area as a kid but now it's my favorite place to fish the spawn and summer also asin summer you pretty much have the area to yourself. A few folks then but not many. If you go give us a report

As I posted on the the other post it's good to hear of some fish having survived. I agree with you about it being a great place to fish, about the prettiest place I've been. I won't be going soon, neither there of elsewhere unlil I get to feeling better. Sooner or later we will get some decent warming weather and then, fish on.
    Thanks for the report.
