OK so I'm confused. So you can only fish inside the state of KY on KY and Barkely or can you go south into Tenn. Is it the same astTourney other rules such as long as you can get there by boat? I was just wondering if you can fish Big Sandy or Birdsong

Only waters within the confines of KY & the reciprocal waters shared with Tenn. is the way we set it up. (ie - whatever waters you can fish with a KY license, resident or non-resident, which I believe is all waters North of the US79/Hwy 76 bridge). That's why we picked Kenlake as the weigh-in site, because it's more or less halfway between the dam & that bridge.

You can fish Barkley Lake, within the confines of KY... all the way to the Ky/Tenn border.

You cannot fish any of the land locked "lakes/ponds" ... such as Energy Lake.

Im going to do some tent camping at this one. I do a lot of camping down there. Wish I had a place down there. Will somebody post where I need to send my entry fee. These friendly small tournaments are a lot of fun. Ive been in a few small catfish tournaments up here on the river and there always a lot of fun. Ill be putting in at another ramp so wont get to meet anybody until the weigh in but, I cant wait. I love to crappie fish. Me and a buddy came down a few weeks ago and didn't catch one crappie just some yellow bass. However, they will be biting there during this tournament at least I can have wishful thinking!

And actually, the only "plan" that is not quite finalized ... is the cutoff time to be in the weigh-in line. You can only fish from 730AM - 3PM ... local time. We're considering extending the time you have to be in line for weigh-in, from 330PM to 4PM, due to the consideration of the lakes being so large, and the possibility of people fishing/launching from areas far away from Kenlake ramp. There will be a finalized posting in the coming weeks, so keep checking back.... cp
I'm all for a 4pm cutoff for the weigh in line. Ill be fishing up on the north end and its right at an hour drive from the ramp to the weigh in for me.

Where you gonna be tent camp'n in mid-March? Most of the camp grounds don't open till April 1st. Just wondering in case someone else asks about early camping.

If I'm not mistaken you can camp in any of the lbl campgrounds that don't have resident attendants year round as long as you have a back country camping permit. We camped in a couple different ones during this past duck season and last year stayed at sugar bay in feb
