I am going to move my T M batterys up to the front of my boat to make them more eash accessable to check water etc. And also to take some weight off the back. Will get started on this project if it ever warms up.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Funny that you mention that. I went with an 80 on a 20+ foot boat once myself.
You can do it right, or do it twice. It's up to you.

I came across a basically new terrova 101 for $800 last year. Deals happen so maybe one will pop up but IF you plan on pulling cranks much you DEFINITELY need the 101 or be prepared to only fish about 5 hours or so tops. You can get by with the 80 but as much as you like to fish you will be pissed you didnt get the 101 or 112.

The bigger the better. Do not try to save a few bucks by getting a smaller motor (like I did). You will be kicking yourself next year while planning on upgrading. I have a PolarKraft 176. I put a 55lb Terrova on her and wish I had spent the extra $300 for the 80.

I did this. Put both trolling batteries under my console. Very happy with the way it makes the boat sit, though it did require a long run on my charger cables (still in the back with the cranking battery)

The 80 works great on my 18 footer....got two group 31 batteries and can pull cranks at 1.8 all day
