    Default Weds Weather.....

Looks like a repeat of last week.... more snow

    >>>WXRISK<<<

*** ALERT *** GFS ENSEMBLE HAS COME OUT.. this MODEL SAYS .. the Model.. NOT me..

MAJOR SNOWSTORM FOR ALL OF SE VA ... 10" + possible for hampton roads... For RIC METRO areas South and east of RIC into Middle Peninsula and to Emporia 4 to 10" possible.. North and west of RIC 2-4"

NORTH CAROLINA Everybody east of interstate 95 in North Carolina all way to the Outer banks and into interior southeastern North Carolina including areas such as Fayetteville Lumberton Jacksonville and perhaps Wilmington will see a major snowstorm with accumulations amounts over 10 inches... and in some palces perhaps 15"

Between interstate 95 and the approximate line of interstate 85 all the way down to Charlotte and this includes the areas such as Raliegh Durham Greensboro as well as Sanford and Rockingham... Potential exists for several inches of snow. The closer to interstate 85 the less snow .. and the closer to interstate 95 the more snow .

Wind & temp look better for Thursday, but ramps will be snowed over & too slick to navigate.

You are correct, but I've sure had some great days when I can get out after a storm like that.

Right! That Risk guy loves to call them. Just to be clear, he is calling for 10+ inches for hampton roads right? I don't believe it. Maybe 3" in spots. For all of you guys down that way, when was the last time that area got 10-15" of snow?

A bit of historic perspective, local TV weather reporters like to hedge their bets. They will call for anywhere from a dusting to snowmegaeddon. This means that somewhere the forecast will be correct. By midday Tues. they should be in full blown hysteria. Just kick back and enjoy, what will be will be. Just be sure Old Granddad supply is adequate.
