    Default water in the Atchafalaya


    an this time of year, when it is cold and the water is c.. 10feet at butte larose is it worth while fishing at catfish bayou out from bayou pigeon and if so where are the sac au lait and what bait to use ...thanks

    thanks. went to bayou sorrel this afternoon. and did not get a bite. that does not mean the fish were not there. the truth of the matter is that I spent almost all of thr time playing with my fish finder and the radio powered smart cast. it appears that if you are going to fish this area the fishing is better at bayou pigeon c. 10 miles to the south.

    I'm day late but :0) I'd fish the deepest water with pilings, well heads and such. They hold the heat. The banks facing north will be warmer too.HTH

    thanks. am I correct that the sac au lait look for the warmest water they can find and the deeper the water the more likely it is to be warm? also at when is the spawn in the bayou pigeon area... does it depend on the temperature or the declaration of the sun or both. where are the fish during the spawn and how do you fish them. thanks again .CNM
