    Default Coons

Gonna catch hell tonight. Winter classic or something like that is in town. Last year there were hundreds and hundreds of participants at this thing. If you want to see some cool stuff and your into any kind of dog hunting I would recommend going to the civic center in Batesville.

Those are some high dollar dogs too. Once they get nite champion or grand nite champion in front of their names they're pretty valuable.

Wish they'd kill a bunch of those rascals. This is on our river bottom land which is underwater now. This was my buddies stand where he had been feeding. I'm afraid if they turned loose only 8 or 10 dogs, the coons would give them a whuppin' and send them on their way. We counted well over 30 in this pic and suspect all that were there were not in the picture.

I used to be in a lease behind the levee at lula. Took a diehard coon hunter and his dogs there one night. He turned the dogs out and they trees in less than 2 minutes. After the third time, less than 100 yards from the truck, he was ready to go. Said it wasn't any sport hunting a place with a coon in every tree! Lol!
