Thread: Bright colors

What if you want to put on a glow color then a candy ?

I've been pouring and powder coating for 5 years and no means an expert I think it would work but your base coat might change the intended color. I'd experiment on one or two to see if its what your looking for?

So was your base coat a PP white or a special base coat? I'm wanting to try it under a candy that I've got coming.

Reg. white it was some I picked up in a bait store. In ala. because of price . Just plan white

White powder paint can be a real PITA!! I've gone to using white pearl which really coats better for me anyway. On candy colors some have had jigs nickle plated then put the candy colors over that and they look really good. There are some shiny chrome powder paints but I've never tried them.

If you do a search on chrome powder paint or nickle plating you'll get a bunch of info.

Skip even had some gold plated but I think Skip must have hit the lottery at some point in his life or like everyone says he has an insider at Ft. Knox I gotta say though the pics he's posted of his Road Runners that have had the heads plated are awesome!

I'm searching for a mirror chrome powder that's not plating. So far I've struck out!
