    Hang in there. Won't last forever. Here in central Indy ice is 6''+ on small ponds.

    this is welcomed weather for us ice fisherman. past few years good hard water has been hard to come by. I live in Brookville and the lake has solid ice all the way to the dam. solid ice to the dam has only happened a handful of times in my life. I might have to punch some holes near the dam for some walleyes. the dnr gill nets them there in the spring and have reported a few around 17lbs in there nets. I have personally witnessed them releasing the fish back into the lake and they get a lot of fish 4lbs and up.
