Was watching the news last night and on one segment they were talking about the state needing to do some major road repairs but didn't know where the money woulld come from. Didn't take me but a couple of seconds to tell my wife where to get the money from. We live in Natchez that just a few months ago opened a new bridge that when headed west will allow you to go south and skip the light. Locals call it the bridge to no where. And just a few nights ago the news reported the closing of a exit on I-55 in Jackson and the building of a left turn lane on the first exit. From the looks of the cloverleaf map they showed nothing actually needs to be done. People need to read the exit signs and take the right one. Therefore no money need be spent on another useless project. So here it is for you folks that make the decision on how to speed these transportation funds: Remove your head from your rear and quit wasting money on project that are just a waste and put the money into real highway work that should have been done as it was needed instead of waiting until everything has fallen apart.

I wished that Church rd. exit 287 on I-55 was double lane. When we have an event at the Landers center traffic will back up a mile or so. Plus all the trucks going to warehouses behind the center. Kinda hard to go left onto Church. But construction on a new interchange at Starlanding exit 285 will begin soon.
