    Default New crappie reel?

Has anyone seen the frabill straight line reel? It looks similar to the mr.crappie solo reel. It looks like it would be great to use on a jig pole fishing 12ft or less. Google it for more info and description. Just wondered if anybody has one?

It's a nice looking reel but I think overboard for jigging. If you're gonna use it on a jigging pole it's main purpose is to hold line where in ice fishing which they are made for you have to let out line and wind in the fish. I'm sure it would work just great but they're twice the price of the Solo reels.

Looks more beefy than most crappie reels. I say go for it. Main purpose is to land the fish, most today's basic crappie reels tear up too easy. I got away from em.

I got a Solo reel for my Golden Shiner Award and I love it. I caught my first fish in my new boat with the Solo reel on my BnM ultra lite rod last week in Chicot. It was a dam green trout, however.
