Buckrub I think you and me would make a good team. It sounds like you are about as old as I am.

As a young child I spent many happy hours with a yo-yo. Never fished with one though.

Yea Feb is the time to start and as nimrod said find the high water and hang yoyos in the buckbrush.. don't fish more than 15 inches at the max and don't b afraid to use bass minnows for slab crappie... those guys r trying to put on weight and a great big minnow tht can't get away is a very tempting treat... most importantly have sharp hooks and if u hang ur yoyo from a solid structure such as a log or real solid branch have the yoyo set a lil heavier... if ur hangin from a light flexible branch such as buck brush have it set at the lightest as possible... but remember if u use bass minnows and crappie minnows b sure to put the bass minnows on the heavy set yoyos and the small ones on the light sets... also there r two diff. Slots to set the trigger I always use the shallow one (light one) and adjust it to super light or farely heavy as stated above depending on structure and minnow size.... good yoyoin and tear'em up!!
