Default Tough day for team AGFC

I fished with two fellow biologists on Conway this morning until about 2. We caught a combined 25 yellow bass, 2 bluegill, and 5 crappie. Only two of the crappie were big enough to keep. Tough day but better than being in the office. How did you others that I saw out there do? I saw the Pro come into the pool around 1. I soon realized that we were fishing the wronge type of areas today.

The bite changes from day to day , just because there in one location today don't mean they'll be there tomorrow, don't spend to much time doing the same thing if it isn't productive , change it up , " go into search mode " is what I like to call it!!!!

Thanks for the advice Greg! You are not the first person to tell me that. I guess that I am stubborn and haven't leaned that lesson yet. One of these days...

If you REALLY wanna do something neat, go 'radio collar' several of the dadgum things. I can't figure out where they run off to? (That's "offta" for some of us). Seriously, you can fish a brush pile and do great.........then it stops. Folks say "they stopped biting". I doubt it. I think they moved off. Later they come back.

Same thing for days. Some days they are on X brushpile, next day they aren't, then they are.....

I'd give a pinky, maybe even one of my own, to know for a fact where they go over a week or month's time.

    Daddy Rat,

We stocked 32,250 yearling black crappie into Mallard Lake on 11/12/13. We have requested more to be stocked this year.

Just how long will it take for those to reach 8 inches?

Ya'll are doing a fine job up here considering what you have to work with.
