I do not mind being the weigh master, but i would like to have a cut off time for collecting people's money the morning of the tourneys. 15-20 mins before start time so that i may travel to a different ramp to launch, if i chose to.
Also i would like a cut off day for people sending their entry fee to me early. Since the tourneys are on Saturdays, i would say no entry fee should be mailed after the first Monday before the tourney. This way i can make sure the checks clear the bank and the money is withdrawn for the tourney.
Tourney......................................Tourn ey date.......................................mail in entry fee deadline.

My suggestions for weigh in ramps.
Kentucky Lake - Ken Lake State park, Meet at the end of Park rd. Ken Lake is position about evenly between the Ky dam and Cypress bay. There is plenty of parking and for the weigh in. Easy to get in and out. Its also position good for anyone fishing Barkley as well. Now, i am not talking about the ramp for Ledbetter. I am talking about the other side of the marina. If you were heading 68 south from Aurora, you would come to US80. You would just go straight across US80 into the state park. That is Park rd and take it to the end. It dead ends into the lake where the tennis courts are.
Lake Cumberland - Wolf creek Rec Area. Aligator #1 ramp for weigh in. Its evenly position between fishing creek and the dam. Its easy to get in and out to the main road. There is plenty of room for the event. There are plenty of cabins, motels and stores. There are no parking or launching fees. Most everyone fishes from fishing creek to the dam.
Now, with all that being said, i like nutty butters, expensive bourbons and marlboro's.
Thanks Chucky, I'm going to call tomorrow. I'm only 21 and plan on driving a pretty good distance, so if the camp ground is close the kamper cabins is my next choice to keep me a budget.

Chucky I will be glad to help if I can .
The only thing better than a day of fishing. Is a week of fishing.
I don't think Chucky's request for early payment of entry fees is out of line. PM him for his mailing address, and get your money in "the jar" ... and let's get this party started !!!
KY Lake Fruit Jar Tourney on March 15th will start at 7:30AM (start fishing) .... and you must be in the weigh-in line at or before 3:30PM (bare that in mind if launching from a distant ramp on either lake !! )
Ken Lake will be the weigh-in site, unless there's an overwhelming reason for it not to be.

Hello everyone, long time lurker first time poster. I've been wanting to get into a little tournament fishing and this seems like a great place to start. I'm up for getting in on any of the tourneys you fine folks have on ky or barkley lakes. If Santa hadn't forgot to bring my side scan again this year maybe I'd have the confidence to branch out and fish some of the other lakes you'll be on but I reckon ill just hafta stick to the home turf for now. Any idea how many tournaments will be heald over here on the big water this year?
Our little Fruit Jar Tourney series will only have the one, this year. But, I'm sure there are other tourney series that you can get in on ... or even local clubs to join. I'll let the "locals" fill you in on any of that info, though. So just post your question in a new thread, & I'm sure the West End Gang will reply.
