The bite was real slow. The shad were deep in the creek channel but I never caught a crappie over 10 ft. deep. Most were on the lips of the channel. My two best fish were blacks. 1/0 hook jigs tipped with minners. I caught more with single jigs than I did with double rigs. I also had an air show. Two T6 Texans came over and when I stood up and waved, they turned their smoke on.
