I have some and have tied some for a guy or two, but have not actually fished it before. Have not been ask for it very much at all. It's kind of odd looking after it's tied in.

Maybe it's a good thing I left the hatchet at home yesterday. Had 4 dead ones within about 30 yards of each other on a bridge yesterday. Still, got home and put hatchet and short piece of 2x6 in truck.
I had one guy tell me that was all he fished with, but I don't think he ever came back for more and I never head how he did on them.
Do some trapping so I tried it last year....it will work. Hatched the tail unless you want to skin out. I first freeze them to kill all critters (48hrs). I then get out and wash in Dawn soap. Let dry.......nice and fluffy. I think would be better dyed. Did catch fish. They are oily and do have a smell......that is why I washed.
The only ones I have are bought. I did kill 4 coons just a short while back. They had been making trouble in the neighborhood and climbed up my big willow so I shot them, but didn't have nice tails like I bought so didn't keep anything.
Something else I will need to try. Gary
It moves a lot like squirrel does in the water. You can tie some nice jigs, just don't try to put to much of the fur in the jig and it work nicely.
