    Default Our Short Slabfest

Made it to the Parade on Thursday. Many vehicles......saw State Patrols pulling over cars and helping line them up. I fell in behind a Hog Truck and just took my time. Saw firetruck and couple other boats in the parade......but I must have got on the wrong route because the parade just disappeared. We (1Cove and Kin Folks) made it fishing Friday and caught and released three over 2 lbs. The forecast and other reasons ......we decided to forgo the Slabfest and return home. Had a great time at 3 Bananas Friday Night. Good to see 65Volkswagon still wearing his shirt. Here is a few pics from Friday......Sure some big belly fish.......we will return.

It was windy today but Quickhook and I got on some good fish. We had a 2 lb.2 oz and a 2lb.5 oz that we also released. Caught a 13 1/2 inch fish that weighed 1 3/4 lbs....Glad yall made it home OK.

Nice job Curtis and Andy! Looks like we weren't the only ones who high-tailed it out of there before the wind arrived. It was good to see you litewirehooker and always nice to meet more crappie people.

Sure had a great time !!!! I don't know if Hooker or the fish he's holding had the biggest belly. I think maybe the fish since he has slimmed down some. Good fellowship and meal at 3Bananas (Taco salad and catfish filets were tasty). Curtis seemed to catch on pretty quick once I got him going in the right direction. Would recommend this trip for the future. My brother-in-law David and his fishing buddy Jerry caught a good mess and some thick ones. A good time was had by all. Andy-1Cove
