    Default NPAA in Bloomington MN

Just got back from the NPAA show in Bloomington MN and man was it cold. -47... Just wanted to let you guys know that there are some very exciting things coming to you this spring so keep your eyes open. I will give you a hint on things to come. I will be moving to a Motor Guide in the next few weeks with their new Xi5 and to let you Lowrance guys know, you might want to look into them also. Hint Hint!! Doctor Sonar and move his company around so he can make DVD's for your Hummingbirders and Garman users. There is also a huge update coming for you trollers like myself that Lowrance is going to announce. You didn't hear this from me as this hasn't been released yet but it's super cool.. There are more exciting things to come and I will tell more at a later date.

I am very glad to be home at -2 than -47.

Be interested to see what they have in the works.

Is the Motor Guide trolling motor going to have a built in 360 depth finder on it??? Forget where i saw something along these lines, but that's my guess.

I'm seriously looking at the Xi5 as my next trolling motor. I've used the MG wireless 75# 24 volt for 4 years and love the handheld remote but I can see where the GPS features would make it easier to use for myself with only one hand that works. I will wait until after my extended MG warranty has expired in April this year before I make the change.
The one thing I am looking for is the ability to lock it with a padlock to prevent theft but have not been able to verify that it can be locked down on my deck yet. I'm going to upgrade to the 105# 36 volt when I make the change so I can troll at 2.8-3.0 MPH with my 24 foot pontoon boat. My 75# only moves me at up to 2.4 MPH so I have to use expensive gas to troll at higher speeds.
One additional feature that would be nice is if it had the capabilities, with sonar connected, would be able to keep you trolling at a set depth. Maybe that is too much to expect.
