    Got the final payment notice for our Explorer today--about a year earlier than I had figured--I told Melissa the next newer vehicle is MINE

    Ya'll are right--Melissa saw the post and it gave her a good chuckle
    Heck it's just a 5.4L but the gas is killing me--would cost me about 2K to change the gears out-which would help but not worth it.
    It's those dang 4:11 gears--hate em--3:55 is as low a gear as I want--but I guess I should just keep driving it til it dies and go from there-it gets the job done for sure just hate spending so much on gas. Heck I'd be happy with 15mpg--this thing gets as good a mileage as my boat I did the figuring on a diesel and even with higher diesel prices I would still save about a c note in fuel by switching!!
