Wouldn't that depend on how much time you need to put in? Got to say that looks like a decent price as a foam tool candy is like $20 retail!

I believe I can make something like this a lot cheaper.

Mine wouldn't be that fancy. Cut a slab off the end of a piece of firewood, drill some holes, sand it, add a couple coats of poly, buy a set of roller caster.

Easy to do. Even if you didnt make it fancy. As long as it serves its purpuse, its all good.
Okay well if making it different and no fancy stuff, yes probably so. Also if you could cut the end off of a log and keep the bark it should look great as a rustic piece.
Not a bad price for what you are buying. I wouldn't build one just like it to sell for that price. You can build something with lots of holes but there are still a lot of sanding you have to do even if you route the holes. That one looks nice and if you build one use a Lazy Susan on the bottom.

I bought one from Cabalas almost 2 years ago. The exact same one. It sold for $28.00. I love it.
A old lamp that the wife had bit the dust and had a rotary base on it . I took out the lamp part and use base. Lamp was like 6 years old and was bought for like 4 bucks. We got more than our use out of it and Now it is a recycled useful tool caddy. Got to love us rednecks we never throw any thing away and find a use for every thing someday.
