    Default Jessup Saturday

If any of you goobers haven't met The Anchor Man...this will be your chance....we'll be launching on SR46 on Saturday and headed to the mud hole to catch some moby crappies. Probably be at the ramp by 6:45. It's been calling me and I haven't been there since last summer. Probably hit the soldier creek area unless someone has some suggestions etc. I did get a report they were catching them with minners around the cane/reeds on the way to Jessup. See ya there!! Who knows....maybe the phantom will show up...sure would be great!!

Sounds good, scouted Jessup a couple of weeks ago & wasted alot of time in open water, but started to nail a few on slip bobber in 1ft on banks, so the trolling gear may not be necessary. Don't know about Rt 46 launch as far as shallow passage to lake, launched at the Sanford Ave. ramp & had to trim-up through that area til' on lake.

If you caught fish right up against the bank then wouldn't the bigger females be staging out in open water?

Jeff, I was worried about the security and the shallow ramp on Sanford Ave vs SR 46.....I think if we get on plane we can do it unless it's dropped too much.

All what I can tell you is I spent 3hrs trolling open water in a few areas that have produced in the past without 1 bite & caught about 15 in the last hr of a afternoon outing on the banks. I'm about as hard-headed as they come to change tactics from long lining, but do try to not make the same mistake twice, just was backing up what Speckanator had heard.

Have fun guys. Don't look like I can make it. Boats not ready for shallow water. No depth finder (without the trolling motor down), and no way to trim motor, leaves me with no way to handle shallow water. I got a hydraulic jack plate on way, but won't make it in time. Hate for everyone to make fun of me getting stuck in the mud! Instead I'm just gonna be a stick in the mud!
