    Default Ky lake fishing depth


    What depths should I concentrate on this time of year for crappie water temp is in the mid 40's. I fish mostly in the Danville,, paris landing area

    had a friend fishing newjohnsonville area friday and caught a good mess in 5ft of water

    Really 5 ft of water, I always thought they were usually deeper in winter, I fished several brushpiles yesterday in 12to 20 feet of water and only had 1 crappie and about 20 yellow stripe ,,maybe I need to try some shallow water

    find you some brush in 12 fow or less. rig up a stick bobber or slip float so your jig is just of the brush and work it over the structure. with these colder temps they ain't going to chase much but if ya hang it in front of their nose you'll get more hits. Just give it a twitch and let her set for a few and do it again. it's been working for us down this way, hope ya take a boat load!
