Is the book only for crappie / fish recipes or open to everything?

    Okay I'll try one.
    Paisano's Garlic Parmesan Bread

Slice a loaf of fresh French bread lengthwise. Use a good bread knife, to keep from "rolling" the bread. Butter both halves, preferably with real butter. Lightly sprinkle garlic powder on the buttered halves. Liberally sprinkle grated parmesan cheese on both halves. Put directly on oven rack in a 350 degree preheated oven. When butter begins to bubble slightly, switch oven to broil 550 degrees. Watch bread carefully and let it brown slightly. This will only take a couple minutes, don't take a break now. Remove bread from oven and carefully cut or tear into serving size pieces, so as to not squash them. Plan this to serve hot. Goes great with any tomato sauce dishes, etouffe and gumbo. Enjoy.
