Nice fish, but fishing rivers can be frustrating . They change the water and it can change everything. I've seen it go from a fish every drop to nothing like they just evaporate!.![]()

well superslab nimrod is right. river fishin can be tough and frustrating because of the changes in flow.it also is the best kept secret in ark. ive spent the last 25 years tryin!!!! to master it .the best tip i can give is to run your electronics on the lower side of river jetties and look for shad. there needs to be atleast 22-25 ft of water. the shad will be in 14-17 ft .if theres shad there is usually crappie. the drop off of the jettie rocks is steep so you do need to fish your jig slow and keep it in the bottom.ill send you another post later .
