    Way to go
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

Thats more than I have seen most of the season, usually just nothing all I can say is it is not for a lack of trying. This has been a unusually tough season for me and from those I talk to most of them also. Oh well next year can only get better right?

tough year for most everyone I know, too. I'm going again tomorrow but man am I tired of looking at squirrels and birds!
but at least I have a few good den trees picked out because I am gonna take it to those tree rats here soon!
Last year, I remember reading a few articles written by the conservation dept regarding the outbreak of EHD in the summer of 2012. they said that we wouldn't notice much of a change in deer season 2012 but the 2013 season would really show the areas hit the hardest. from what I remember reading, the articles also stated that it would be a few seasons before we saw any improvement.
I tend to believe that the numbers are way down this year because as a collision repair tech, I usually fix a lot of cars that hit deer, pretty much from october through december and again in the spring when they drop their fawns. this year has been really slow for deer hits, compared to most other years.
all this makes me wonder if they might reduce the available antlerless tags in the future?
