Danbo, you know I have always been a Humminbird person. But I am gonna give Lowrance a honest try. I already know that HB is more user friendly. I have heard good and bad about the Elite 7 but I heard good and bad about the HB 798 I bought 3 years ago too. With the Elite 7 on the bow and the 798 on the console, I'll easily be able to compare the 2. The main comparison I want to make is how fast the Elite 7 will update the GPS. The main reason for going with this is because the HB 859 ($573) was out of stock and I found the Elite 7 ($514) was in stock and cheaper...Ford/Chevy, Johson/Mercury, Wally Marshall/BnM, etc...They are all pretty good for the most part, just mainly preference. But one thing is for sure, I'll give you my honest opinion of the Elite 7 in a couple of weeks!!

We will be waiting for that report.

Do let me know. They have some prices on the unit. I like the 7 inch screen.

Tim, does your unit have the Overlay feature? I really would like to know how that works.

Damifino, Danbo...I'll check...Unless you are talking about the way Navionics overlays on the GPS map...Then it does.

The New Elite 7 has a feature that overlays the DI to the Sonar Image. It looks dern good on the demo.
