Dave & JW I learned about clear lake while watching Talking outdoors with Wild Man Wilson. They did a show on the lake fishing Rosey Reds under a bobber along the bank. It was Monkey see Monkey do. They made a mistake by letting me know what lake they were fishing.

David I been learning to be more versatile this past year :-). Got the one pole and cranking and even minner fishing down now to go with spidering.

Have you been to chicot and fished the stump field out in the middle of the lake, they are hard to find, there pretty deep need to use light wire hooks you will get hung a lot if you find them . July and August seems to be the best time.drop down a BIG MINNER and HOLD ON!!!!!!! !

Love me some Chicot but just so far to drive, might as well drive another 30 minutes to Washington !

I've fished Clear several times in the last couple of years. We've caught a few good ones, mostly just keepers. caught a limit or close to it about every time. single pole, mostly minnows, jigs occasionally

Took a old veteran out this time last year on a sunny day. As soon as I could get the jig in the water I had a sink. We ended up with two limits of keepers. I had to put a lead on to get under the hoard of dunks to get to the keeper size fish. It was fun catching them ans talking about the golden days of the Airforce.
