Very good info Bob. I have learned a lot from you and others.

right around about 2009 I started to get into plastics boy I did not know a thing about it at that time it was hard to get information so I had to learn although myself the trick of shooting injection molds well I'll tell you it takes about two years just to learn the basics and then it will come pretty fast I had a lot of problems at first with only getting half of the baits in the mold realizing that we were trying to shoot plastics below freezing conditions where I lived at the time it was simple the molds are just too darn cold I got frustrated and stop shooting and give up for about 2 or 3 months when the weather started to get warm you say it was in the high 80s in the shop everything start to come together the molds for nice and warm and we were getting any problems until we bought some different plastics we were having a lot of problems with bubbles smoke and everything else I have tried every plastic on the market I only found one that I truly like now the 502 by lurecraft it has been the best so far it doesn't turned yellow we don't have hardly any smoke and I can reheat plastic without it turning yellow also getting back to heating up the molds a few months back I had some molds made by Lakeside these were multi cavity over the molds were 20 and I called this plastic bait the little square we were having a heck of a time shooting because a little legs were not coming out in the mold the molds were so big that the plastic was cooling before it got on out to the little legs I had to take these molds and put them in the oven at 350 and leave them in till they got hotter than you can touch after I did this they come out perfect we had a perfect shot we do have another lakeside mold which I call the Texas bug this mold is a different completely and we could shoot this one without heating the mold up so I'm telling you that sometimes it depends on the mold and what type of design you have for a plastic bait whether you're going to have any problems a lot of time such trial and error with them you find one thing it doesn't work try something new but the trick of it is a lot of people do not heat the molds it just a little trick real simple and it's something that most of the guys do not think about if you are having any problems please send me a private p.m. and we will answer your questions sorry I don't post is much as I used to like to see new blood in here and we are getting some new people some of the guys on here are little bit more acquainted with shooting plastics than IM so I like to read your comments guys and your new plastic baits I like to see posted a few years back this post partner died if it wasn't for seeker in me it what it died completely we are so happy to have what people we have on here now it is a blessing so I hope you guys keep this poster going.

Aquatic Species Removal Engineer.
May God be with you. Keep CALM and STAY ANCHORED with your faith.
Bob, it was me and you for a while until others came on board. I am glad they came along. Many of them know more than I do. I just wish I had the time to stick with it. I am sort of sad that I got out of making baits. Maybe when my daughter gets a little older I will start back. Bob you have sure kept things together here and kept the ship floating. Keep up the work and the info sharing. I still check in here regularly to see everyone's good work.
