Here's the deal.....thought the wife and I would have a quiet lazy Christmas eve and not expecting any family until tomorrow afternoon. NADA!! My daughter, her husband, my 18 month old grand daughter, and their dog arrived last night around 10PM and getting to bed around 11PM. I got up around 5:30AM and couldn't turn on the TV (might wake the baby and her parents) so I just sat around for about 10 to 15 minutes trying to think of something to do. The boat wasn't ready to go fishing and I was pretty miserable. So, realizing the family wouldn't be up for two or three hours...I got in the truck and started out with no particular place in mind. I ended up at Hardy's where I enjoyed a fine breakfast. Then off to Sandy's bait shop to catch up on fish talk. When I left there I spent a good amount of time at the local Tractor Supply walking the isles. Before I knew it.....it was time to head home where everyone was up and waiting for me to make coffee and breakfast!!

Feels pretty good to feel needed doesn't it.

THE BEST TIME TO FISH IS WHEN IT'S RAINING AND WHEN IT'S NOT RAINING
