What make you a pro staff person? Is that word Pro Staff over used. To me it be that you getting payed by them. I fish with Ozark rods, Meatgetter Jig, MidSouth jigs, Southern pro jigs, Bobby Garland jig. Dose that make me a Pro Staff of them. I have only had MidSouth jigs to give me a package of there for free. So dose that make me a MidSouth Jig Pro staff. I just like to see where you come up with it. My wife said I a pro staffer of Bull

Anyone can be a pro staff. Usually the status is given after the company and the person has agreed to support each other whether it be in free materials or discounted materials. Usually people that are vocal and successful at what they do get asked to be a pro staff. However, bob i am with you pro-staff and pro terminology gets thrown around loosely IMO. It used to get used more in the past and people have gotten better about flaunting that term. Nothing wrong with promoting your sponsors products and signatures are a great way some have went to using.

I can see if you fishing all the Pro circuits you being a pro staff. I rodeo for for over 25 years and yes I got all the patches to advertise and yes got payed from them. I just figured a pro staffer would be payed also or owner of it.

Pro staff - an individual representing a company in his industry that gives the individual a discount or free stuff in exchange for advertising. Also known as selling your soul! Just kidding on the soul part btw.

I feel if a company asks you to endorse their stuff and be a pro staffer thats great. Nice when they give you stuff for that. Otherwise you can just post your favorite products you use and maybe they will apperciate it and give you something out of the goodness of there hearts for recommending their product even if your not a prostaffer. I am always willing to accept freebies and do not plan on fishing any tournaments. Meatgetter makes a great jig which I use when fishing tied jigs.

"prostaff" get thrown around as much as "3 lb slabs" do at a bait shop. Put those 3 lb fish on a scale and they turn into 1.5lb fish. Call a company and ask about a "prostaffer" and they have never heard of them. Some companies give out stickers to people for free that say "pro staff", a 3yr old kid can get one. I have a buddy that I met about a year ago and knew absolutly nothing about crappie fishing, still doesnt know much, but now he is on facebook promoting 4 or 5 different companies products that he paid FULL PRICE for, lol. Some poeple are just ate up with trying to impress others and "look" the part. What really cracks me up is these dang jerseys people pay $200 for, they put down the logos of all the products they like to use with rarely any money from the companies to help pay for the jersey
