    Default Cumberland crappie


    Heading to Cumberland at the end of March. Never fished Cumberland. Any tips? Usually fish Dale hollow. Wanting to try something new

    there is a crappie tourny at burnside the end of march. The lake is up about 15 feet right now so every thing that i had marked is 15 to 20 feet deeper than i would like and it could be the same way then. Look for wood in 4 to12 feet and pitch jigs or slip bobber minnows in the brush. If the water is warm enough they will be starting to spawn then. Keep checking here for more updates between now and then. Dave

    Not sure on what area of the lake your going to be fishing, but we fish Fishing Creek, Lees Ford Marina, if ya down in that area go back under the bridge an thats a large flat out there with some brush and stick-ups. We normally float that area an pick-up fish along the way. Also heard that the corp is going to raise the lake like 25 ft. before spring, they are about finished with the work on WC dam. With all the growth on the banks that should make for a nice spring bite during spawn.
    My boat maybe old, but shes still... FAST !!
