Default How do you make a floating grub

I want to try my hand at making a floating grub for my Carolina Rig. How do I do it?

OK. I will google them. Thank you. I need to find where I can buy their plastic material so I can make my own. I found lots of sites that sell floaring worms.....but, as I said I just need a small amount to just make a few dozen grubs for myself.

I float mine on carolina rigs with a small walleye float.....it doesn't seem to scare the fish.....I have some that are lime green. I also use them shellcracker fishing with a carolina rig or a drop shot rig to float my redworms off the bottom a little bit.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I have done that and it works well. I just had a dream last night to try and do an underwater presentation with just a hook and grub. The bad part was that every grub I tried in the test bucket this morning also sank the #4 hook.

    Hey Ship,
Elaztech is proprietary plastic and can only be made with there heavy pressure machines. They sell grubs at different stores. . There are some micro bubbles you can add to your plastic I hear!

Thanks for the heads up on microbubbles. That is possibly the tip I am looking for.

Oh crap! Looks like the cost of microbubbles and the high pressure equipment needed to inject them is cost prohibitive for the occasional small time user like me. I might do better pouring plastic around a slice from a foam bobbers insert. Stay tuned........ before I attempt that I am asking all you experts if this might be a very bad idea. I will not try it until I hear from you guys and gals.

The hot plastic would probably melt the foam. Also that foam can produce some bad fumes when hot or melting so be carefull if you try it. Also idf that foam has absorbed some small amount of moisture.....it could react with the hot plastic and explode.......just guessing here so you need to be carefull here.
