    Default The Shark

Tried out the Shark from Bob's jigs. It's a great bait. I had the Chartreuse with the sparkles in it. I caught Bluegills, Rock Bass, & Bass I also used the brown one and caught a 3lb. Small Mouth on it. I caught several fish on each one, plus some that I lost. I used a 1/16 oz. jig head Chart. that had a collar or point to hold the body on. I used a 13' B&M Black Widow and just kinda jigged it and pulled it around. The fish loved them. The only damage was from the jig collar. The tail and everything else was all in tact. Bob, thanks for giving me the chance to try them out...

I wonder how they are molded, vertical or hortizonal? Reason being it would be nice to make body and tail one color and the wings a second color. If they are flat in the mold you could put some color in the wings, then close it up and inject second color.

thank you for the suggestion but if I do make the wings a second, color very time-consuming you can shoe color and on the wing angles it back up you better have a very small syringe to do this with the only other way is to cut them off and put them back in the mold and shoot your second color we will experiment with this later on we are definitely trying to keep things down to a minimum if I do too much more I would only cost more I think the plastic bait justifies itself is the you good without doing too much makeup on it the only thing that you would be doing their is catching fishman and would only be for human eyeballs.

it would definitely be very time consuming to do the wings a different color unless you had a wing mold that you could shoot a bunch of wings and then place them in the mold but it would still be a very time consuming process. You would waste a lot of plastic if you did not have a wing mold.

you are exactly right on wasting material.

I've got a idea, on how to make Sharks "multi-colored" :

All Snake has to do is run a batch of Sharks, using Clear or light pearl ... then YOU get them from Snake & use dip dyes or dye pens to add whatever color you want, to whatever part of the Shark body you want. Thumbs Up That way, Snake doesn't have to go to the trouble & expense of tweaking a mold or multi-molding ... and you can make your own color creations to try, or experiment with.

crappiepappy I was going to suggest the same thing about using the dip but a lot of people do not want to fool with it so I did not mention it. Glad to see you brought it up anyway for those that might want to try it. It will work lik you mentioned and would be good for those willing to try it out. If anyone does this please post some pictures. I know ship likes to use those pens and does good work.

yes markers will work this is a very good ideal and you get results real fast we are going out today to try to shoot the wings with hot plastic and a syringe and then I will post the results on here keep in mind that this is very time-consuming but it should work?
