Hey folks, I hear that Uncle Sam may be sending me towards Tacoma and was wondering what all you guys fish for besides crappie. Don't get me wrong, I love crappie and that's just about all I will eat, but sometimes I like to hook into some better fighters. Located in Central Texas currently and our hybrids and stripers are great. Just convincing myself that the move will be ok on me and I will have something to tackle. I also have a CC bay boat so I hope that will get up in some of those rivers, but kind of worry. Fished the smith river years back and would never take my boat on that piece of water. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Fishtracker from the TFF (Texas Fishing Forum)

got a lot of options: bass (smallies are popular up here), panfish, salmon, trout, etc. The pink salmon run is going on right now.
we've got pretty much everything around here, just not as big as down in the south. you should check out some of the local forums to get some good info.

Depending on where you want to drive to you can get into just about everything well except Stripers/Hybrids. To include what has already been mentioned, Walleyes, Bluegills, Perch, and Catfish (Channel mostly) can be found as well here in Washington.
I'm kinda partial to perch/walleyes for eating!

Born To Fish
The fishing here is as good as back home in Texas you just have to relearn a lot of your tactics fo fishing in clearer/colder water. But the salmon/steelhead fishing is as good or better than fishing for reds and specks.
