I've never caught a cat there at either lake but I'm sure they are in there. plus there is a good run of cut throat trout that run in the main creek there on main post.

Sup? Smitty What Are The Names Of The Lakes On Ft. Lewis. When I Was Stationed There In 90 , I Was On North Fort And There Was A Large Lake In The Back That I Used To Road March By, I Want To Say It Might Have Been A Hatchery , Because The Fish Were Large And They Looked Like Trout, But They Were Big As Hell Whatever They Were. I Also Heard That You Have To Watch A Video And Other Things, But I Have Heard That There Are Large Crappie In These Lakes. Holla At Me
Sequalitchew is the lake on north fort that I fished when I was still in. Has lots of laydowns and some good bass fishing.Quote:

Sequalitchew had a salmon hatchery at one time. Cat lake on the south Rainer training area had large crappie back when I was stationed there in the early '90's.
CRAPPIE BB sorry I havent got back with you I didnt see your post til now. I'm not sure the names but when you go onto north fort there is a lake to the left which was the smaller one but it was full of big bass. The main lake on the right always had big trout caught out of there. As for the names I couldnt tell you, I was stationed back there in 2002. Good fishing on post I think was do to the fact not as many civilians wanted to go thru the hassel of fishing on post but once you get everything squared away it's not to bad.
THAT'S COOL I WAS THINKING ABOUT TRYING ON POST SINCE I'VE HEARD THERE ARE BIG CRAPPIE IN THOSE LAKES. ONE OF THEM USED TO BE A HATCHERY FROM WHAT (TXN) SAID, I REMEMBER WHEN IT WAS BACK IN 1990 I WOULD ROAD MARCH RIGHT OVER THIS BRIDGE AND YOU WOULD SEE BIG SCHOOLS OF SALMON LOOKING AT YOU BECAUSE THEY KNEW YOU COULD NOT CATCH THEM. THERES A WEBSITE THAT YOU CAN CHECK FOR RULES ON FISHING FT.LEWIS. I'LL HOLLAQuote:
