I see you use marobu....
kinda. they don't really have much of a hair tail. they are custom hand tied hair jigs..... they were the secret killer bait ;)
wow thoes are simple you could pump out 25 in an hour, and they work pretty good huh, hmmm, time to open up shop....
Looks like you guys did pretty good :D
on the crappie, lets not talk about the bass though...
hahaha, that's OK Koke, I was only going down for the crappie's anyway. :p I fished Tanawax for a couple hours on Friday and didn't do any good at all.
there was a guy at the launch that said the big weight for the first day of the bass tourny was 6lbs. makes me feel a little better about only catching one decent bass.....
yeah I think that my five fish total would only have been no more than 4 pounds.
at least you had a 5 fish total :D lol
pure luck and nothing else..
Unless something drastic happens, like the transmission falls out of my jeep (Yes CK, you know it is possible), I'm heading down there Sunday to give it a go. I probably won't get there too early though as my band has to play the night before so I won't even get home till about 3.
These things are deadly as well.Quote:

Those are some nice crappies guys. Where the whites bigger than the black crappies this year? They seem to grow a little bigger in there.
yeah they were. the biggest black was probably about 9.5" and most of the whites 9"+
same...
Well, me and my boys hit Silver yesterday. We caught a lot of crappie but most were 8 inches or so, only had a couple keepers. Did get into some big bluegills that were a lot of fun on the ultralights. They'll be getting a crisco bath tonight. :D
Nice!! I miss that lake already......
agreed :( :( :( :( :(Quote:

Did anyone ever get one of those maps exbassguide spoke of? I mailed him but never heard back....
i got one quite a while ago. i could probably send it to you if you want.
so how did your guys trip up there to silver? me and a buddy where there all weekend didnt catch to much there was a tourny that weekend we only caught one good keeper... 4.08 on a 5 inch senko. the island was the only spot holding active fish for us..
same story for us, CK and I each got one at about 1.5.
yup, the bass fishing sucked!!!!!
Yes Waldon isalnd was hot all fall! Most of the bass came off the island this year and open flats (hard bottom areas).
Roger

I dont think I caught a fish all october - i couldnt even enter the @#$@'n contest.
I don't know about you guys but i'm glad the rain has returned and "casting" season is over. This year was by far the worst year for fishing since i've been here in Washington. We made down to Silver that weekend and did ok. We caught over 200 fish and didn't have enough to fill half a bucket. We ended up with maybe 9 keepers. 7 crappie and 2 really nice perch. The first 3 hours were a total waste, as we were stuck in the middle of the lake in zero visability fog. The canals had tons of hungry little fish, and they saved the trip. It was a lot of fun just catching fish for a change. I'm throwing in the towel, the fish win. If you're looking for Cajun Chris, I'll be at the Renton Fish and Game club blowing off steam with my 40 Cal.
Trouble! Balck man with a gun, this stuff is all over the news and the movies..:D
My Grand Daddy learned me a long time ago back in the "Boot" (La.) that Freedom Got a SHOTGUN!:D
Just got back from Silver... What a frikkin wet day! It rained so much I had to use the bilge in the boat numerous times. We did manage 19 crappies and a couple nice bluegills though. Biggest crappie was 13". All in all a pretty good day, better crappie fishing than a week ago when I was there, for sure...
13incher has got to be worth the rain!
You guys up in WA are getting flooded bad! We're just getting sprinkled down here in OR. Sorry what we did to the Dawgs down here n Eugene Saturday. They gave us a good game. Fishin is still good here if you want to do it in the rain.
Oh it was! We had a blast despite the weather...I did find one odd thing, the crappies moved into where I was previously catching bluegills and the bluegills just disappeared I guess. I've never heard of that before but I guess they don't like each other much....Quote:
