    Question Night Lights in Washington

Does anybody know the rules and or law regarding night fishing with lights in the state of washington. A couple of weeks ago me and a buddy of mine went to Trout lake with the intention of doing a night stalk. I've some night lights that floats on top of the water and connects to a battery. A guy who lives on the lake had a Shi! fit and threaten to turn us in because he claims its illegal to use light to attract fish. Not wanting to cause any problems we aborted the mission, but i haven't been able to find any information regarding lights and night fishing.

He's full of shyt Chris. Nothing illegal about using lights in WA state. Next time, ask him to call the police so he can look like a dummy:D.

Reminds me of the guy on Lake Union last Fall that claimed he owned the water my boat was floating on and I couldn't fish in that area. I tried to be a decent fellow until he started cuss'n. Then I had to tell him to kiss my and call the police.

By the way....I've been using a few these all summer and they work great. They are powered by AAA's. The fish will get right up next them.

They worked great on the Mar Don Resort dock when I was out there a few weeks ago. I dropped one down about 5 feet and one down around 8 feet.....30mins later I was hooking a crappie or walleye on every 3rd or 4th cast. The guys next to me didn't know I had a light right under my feet and couldn't figure out why I was nailing them and they weren't .

Yeah right lol. Nah, I order them from Cabela's. The magnum 18" model is even brighter but the fish tend to hang out on the edges of the light when you use them. The L.E.D lights work better I think. The fish will hang out right next to them: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...ghts&noImage=0

Thanks for the info. I'm not looking for any trouble so he won that round. However, i'll be back out there sometime real soon with lights on and a few choice words if he has anything to say. The light work great, I've used them in La. and when I was in S.C. Rango has an excellent light set up. All you have to do is place them out there and wait about 20 minutes and the bite will usually be on.....
