Default A fun day at Diascund

I fished banker's hours today--got on the water at 0830. Nothing was cooking in the open lake early in the day, but eventually I found a few. Moved back into the creeks & things were much better. First place was an old laydown holding a number of fish, including this 14-incher. (I need to work on my photo technique for bright sun & sun glasses on.)

Soon, a 13-incher hit another minnow, and then a second 13. This fish was flopping around instead of posing for the shot.

By the time I landed several nice fish in this creek/cove, it was lunch time & from then on I fought the wind and these things.

I released 10s and smaller and 13s & over, but still brought home 4 or 5 very nice fish. Rounding out the day's action, there were half a dozen greenies, a couple of small ringers, 3 chains, a catfish, and as many small bream as I felt like pulling off the bank with a Kailin black/blue triple threat. The chains were fond of this pattern, too.

That is a good report Cork and those are some nice fish! You're bound to find that monster as much as you are fishing that place!

Oh, I'm finding monsters all right. Unfortunately, it's the kind that's teeth with a tail. I must have hooked two dozen today (but didn't land one.)

    Default Rub it in

It was bad enough listening to the live report on the phone but to see the pictures....your really rubbing it in. Nice looking fish.
I think Shoer was lurking on the shore line, rumors report he was decked out in camo and sporting a snipers rifle.
