    Default James Yesterday

Went to DG pier to do my water sample. Water was clear of debris. Still a little muddy, but normal level. I drop a target down into the water until I can not see it. Pull it out and measure the depth it disappeared at. This gives me the comparison clarity .Before the rain I was getting 43-44". Yesterday it was 33". Last week went it was muddy it was 23". So the river about half as clear before the rain. You got about 33" of visibility under water.
Several bass boats and pleasure boats went busting by, so river must be OK to run.
Other Words if you like the water a little stained , go. I'm trying to get out myself but got a ton of things to do.

Default rockin can start tomorrow 18" to 28"

should not be a problem to get a limit as far as I see fixed boat steering and tested so I called fishman again and we were back on em as we were yesterday......cant fish tomorrow but sunday afternoonish I will go get my supper...probably take longer to drive 20 miles to the ramp then to get my creel filled ......we only had one pass through the hole we have fished lately with nothing usually one and many 2'S and some triples......and with cold front coming nuttin better to fish for I think it provokes the rocks to feed

ekim find you a ledge with deep water or channel close by ...some of the red channel markers with a good flat behind them ,,,,search the ledges before deep water they seem to be ganged up on the backside of the current ambushing their prey .....try some deep running redfins trolled at 2 to 2 1/2 mph and back 200' they run about 17' on 20 lb. diam. line...the reason for the distance is rocks spook real easy so gotta get the lures away from the boat...line diameter speed and distance is where this 17' comes from after trial and error .....

    Thanks for the tips man!

I'm gonna try just casting & trolling tomorrow since I don't feel like messing with live bait just yet. I'll keep a cast net with me though.

I plan on being off the water by 10am though, not a big fan of being on the river on weekends now.

maybe one eve this week we can hook up and go for a troll !!!! I got fishman78 straight on em ,,,,, he is ready as well got him working rigs like a seasoned troller .......I just gotta get my bigger boat out the dang shop,,If it aint done first of the week I'm going to go get it and do it myself ...its just the heat exchanger and manifold all machine work done just needs assembly and they seemed to have jumped on couple motor jobs due to the pricing ...they do give me good rates i went there today and got parts out the junk yard and installed myself in bout an hour and was back on the road .
but made it clear I needed my boat asap so i guess I wait a few days and return ...
