    Unhappy short day at the river


    got up at 4am gonna head to nottaway but heavy rains and lightning, reset alarm for 445 got up no rain no lighting. loaded boat as I was pulling out wife called and said stay close so went to northwest and someone parked in the middle of bobs. eveyone had to wiggle around his truck and trailer. still dark when I launched went right across from ramp set my poles 6 tightlined and 2 longlined less then 10 mins had caught 2 about 5" long each got around first bend and 3 more even if added the 3 together wouldn't of been a keeper. nothing the rest of the day. pulled off water at 10:30 water very high and winds were kickn at 15plus short day but I got out

    I fished the Nottoway in Sussex yesterday and the fast muddy cold water and total lack of willing fish made my day short as well. You probably didn't miss much on the Nottoway.
