That's a whole lot better than Western Branch, at least you had some action. I was thinking about that lake as I drove over Meade yesterday and today. I just don't like Cohoons steep boat ramp.

I didn't count all the throw backs, there were quite a few, (except perch) all perch were 10-12 inches,
Monday I fished mostly 10 - 15 feet of water, but couldn't find them.
Tusday I started catching fish in less than 7 ft of water, I kept that pattern of drifting an casting through out the rest of the week.
I didn't realize how huge that lake is, well theres my story and I'm sticking to it :D

That was my major concern, I went as far as calling the bait shop there and telling him I had a two wheel drive truck with a jon boat, with out hesitation he said no problem the water level is way up, he was correct, It was a piece of cake, even on wet days, the ramp was about 10 -15 yrds from bend to water,

Blake
Sounds like some good fishing to me!Good job!
"Fletch had a catch of a lifetime and he was even standing up when he caught it!:p"
You said that you were drifting. Were you just drifting with the wind or trolling in 10-15ft? Thanks for the report.
GO VOLS AND TITANS!!!!!
Sounds like you hit it hard Paper.
Thanks for the report!
Like Tap said, at least you had enough action to keep it interesting. I bet you learned a lot about the lake too. I've only fished there a couple of times, a long time ago, but I'm thinking about trying that and Meade this year.
Do gooder since April 26, 2009!
nice job paper thx for the report.
Never take the advice of someone who has not had your kind of trouble!
Hey Navy, I was having most luck bouncing from cove to cove, down one side and back up against the wind on the other side.
On the days the wind got really tough, it was better for me to fish up wind, because the wind was pushing me to fast to keep the bait in the zone, the downside to that was it was rough on the trolling motor battery, now I carry an extra battery for those days.![]()
