Thread: Ice finally gone around Charlottesville

I've been wanting to hit the water for weeks but everywhere around here was iced over, or it would thaw only to get iced over again. This past week we finally had some sunny warmer days and I made it out in my kayak. Found the crappie waiting for me and the bite was hot. I was on the water 3 days and at times it was a fish every cast. Thump! thump! thump! Water was still low to mid 40's but fish were up in 3' to 7' of water. Had lunch one day too. So good to finally get out.
