Today is the Special Olympics fishing trip and picnic. I have never fished up on the Appomatox where we will be. Lord, if ever I need you on a fishing trip, be with me today. I haven't been fishing much lately, and when I have, it has been poor. Come fish by our side today and make this an extra special day for these kids! Amen.

Well, like they say, the lord will answer your prayers, and sometimes in mysterious ways. Since I really stink at putting people on fish, I got paired with a guy that really likes cruising more than fishing. My new fishing buddy Matt and his dad Mike and mom Sue went for a little fishing trip yesterday. Matt caught his first fish. A 1.5 pound catfish. Shortly after that, he said "That is nice, but can we go for a boat ride?" Oh Yea, lets ride! He enjoyed the trip. He likes the sun, the wind and passing boat wakes! We had fun.
