Go get them, I have never caught one, plenty of Crappie but no perch, down here.
Has anyone fished Waller Mill for perch?
Welcome aboard Fishfishwish
Well we tried a couple major creeks off the James today looking for ring perch. Never found any. Water was 45 to 47. Really hope we find some this year. We’ve missed them the last couple years and I would love to get dad back on some. Good luck to everyone
They're a semi rare catch on lake Guntersville. I did catch my best ever around a month ago. She was slap full of eggs. What do you guys look for as far as timing of the spawn and where? Not looking for your fishing spot, I'm not driving to Virginia to Yellow Perch fish.
What do you use for bait?
Thanks. Good to be aboard.

Thanks appreciate it!!
Perch are about 4-6 weeks ahead of the crappie on Melton Hill in East TN. Running creeks, shallow riprap banks and gravel shoals are the spawning areas. They keep away from mud and silt to lay eggs. No nests, males follow females to fertilize eggs as they are laid.
