I've had a few trips since my last post with some success and a lot of learning in between. Launched at 5:45am and had breakfast on the water dead while sticking a Blue ice BGBS. First hit came with a dink with a full belly so at least I wasn't having breakfast alone. Water was about a foot or so lower than last trip and shad were showing around 4-6ft. Most of the hits were coming on the drop as I was trying to get in another bite for myself. Missed most of the hits until I finished eating then managed another dozen or so around the same size as the first. Switched to curly tail to try to see if I could entice something a little bigger but nothing was having it. Went with a heavier jig head and chartreuse BGBS and that seemed to get the bigger ones to cooperate. Fished until about noon as usual and ended the day with 38 total and a 13" crappie as best fish of the day.Name: 20190803_055150.jpg
