Bill, I have a Minn Kota with the quick release mounting bracket. I don't what what they call it but I can loosen a thumb screw and take the whole motor off the boat. Will your motor fit that bracket. Also you are 24 volts, right?
Does that mean 2 batteries instead of 1?

I don't take mine on/off the boat. Its getting in in/out of the water that I have a problem with since it doesn't use a rope. Here is a pic of it and yes its 24v and uses 2 batteries. Its the 65PD/AP/USQuote:
