    Default I'm Back! well kinda

14 weeks since shoulder surgery, oked to return to work light duty starting tomorrow. Managed to get my boat out by myself last Friday at Buggs. The bite was on. Caught fish everywhere I fished from 1 to 16 feet deep. Caught over 100 in 5 hours. Lots of 10 to 11 inch fish. Big fish at 1-1/2 lbs. All on jigs, casting, jigging and even longlinning. Fished lower end of lake, about a 50/50 mix of black and white crappie. Most of the blacks looked spawned out while the whites we're still full of eggs. Use to be I would only catch a few whites a year, now it seems they are taking over the whole lake. Good to be back on the water! Thanks to all for your thoughts and prayers during my recovery, I'm not all the way back but back enough to get back on the water.

    Thanks everyone.
Yes Vic we need to get together. Should have to work around 3 more months and then I retire. Then we'll be living full time at Buggs! Can't wait.
Jim, I no longer use minnows. GeneC has got me hooked on casting, jigging, and shooting docks. Love that thump! I also make most of my own baits which is fun as well.

Glad your getting to retire on Kerr. I not sure you have heard but we bought a house close to lake Oconee Ga. We were looking for a little warmer weather. Man I think were both gonna be spoiled!!!!!!!!!

Jim I hope we both get to enjoy the "spoils" of our lifetime of working for many years. You and Vic need to come on down for a weekend trip once the water levels come back down.

Glad to see you are back on the water but dang, 14 weeks post surgery before light work? Did you have shoulder replacement surgery? I had a torn supraspinatus and torn infraspinatus (surgery was Jan. 9) along with a lot of inflamed tissue but I only missed one week of work and worked the next 4.5 weeks after that in a sling.
