Fun day at the local pond! I joined my neighbor's kids late in the afternoon down at the local pond. Mason was already set up with a bucket of bait-sized crappie and one rod for big bass. He had a few nice sized crappie in the bucket too. After a few casts for bass, I switched to a small jig and the crappie bite was on! Mackenzie and her friend rigged up a skinny limbs (yes, a real tree limb) with jigs. Crappie were right under the dock (actually, a docked pontoon boat). Most of the crappie were mostly small, but some nice ones too, and nonstop action. After a while, I switched back to an old school johnson silver spoon and trailer. The bass bite was slow but I got 3 nice ones. The crappie came home, all the bass went back in the pond. (I'm the old guy in the pics. And that's no regular 5gal bucket either!)
Looks like a great day for all.

very nice, thanks for sharing
That looks like fun. Love the idea of the crappie hanging out under the boat. I'm jealous.
Very nice. Good time for all.
